Sewing Summer Camp

Sewing Summer Camp

Join us for a summer of sewing, creativity, and confidence-building at Thimble Bee’s! Our 2026 Summer Camps are thoughtfully designed to help students learn real sewing skills in a fun, encouraging studio environment. With small class sizes, hands-on instruction, and engaging projects, campers are guided step by step as they create pieces they’re proud of.

Whether your child is brand new to sewing or ready to build on existing skills, our camps are structured by skill level and pace to ensure a positive experience for every student. From beginner foundations to specialty and advanced camps, each week is planned with intention—so students can learn, grow, and enjoy the process of making something with their own hands.

New for Summer 2026:

  • Early Bee Registration Special: Families who register by February 14 will receive a special-edition Summer Camp 2026 t-shirt, designed by one of our very own students. Students who love art and design are invited to enter the t-shirt design contest—details coming soon!
  • Mystery Camp: One of our summer camp themes will be chosen by Thimble Bee’s students and revealed on February 7. We’ll be sharing clues and hints leading up to the big reveal, and families are welcome to register before or after the theme is announced.
  • Summer Sewing Camp Parent’s Guide: This year, we’ve introduced a Parent Guide to help families feel informed and prepared. It includes camp structure, age and readiness guidelines, pacing details, and helpful information to support a smooth and successful camp experience. Click the link below to download your copy!

Our summer camps focus on creativity, skill-building, and confidence—not just finished projects. Space is limited, and many camps fill quickly, so we encourage families to review the schedule and register early.

Summer Camp Details

Age Requirements

All camps are open to ages 7+ unless otherwise stated in camp description. Camps labeled TEENS are intended for students ages 12+.

Campers are grouped by age and skill level to ensure they receive instruction tailored to their unique needs and abilities.

New Campers + Beginner Sewing Camp

For the best experience, new students should first complete a Beginner Sewing Camp prior to attending other sewing camps. This ensures students are comfortable with sewing machine basics so they can focus on creativity and completing their project.

Offered during the weeks of June 8, June 22, and July 13, this Beginner Sewing Camp is an easy way to add foundational skills to your child’s summer camp experience.

This camp is designed to support new sewists while also welcoming experienced students who may want a refresher or extra time to strengthen their skills.

Students may attend Beginner Sewing Camp more than once, as projects change each session. This is a great option for younger sewists (ages 7–9) who benefit from repeated exposure and additional confidence-building time.

Sewing requires focus, problem-solving, and creative energy, which can be both exciting and mentally demanding. While half-day sessions allow students to stay motivated and engaged, full-day options may lead to fatigue for some children, making it harder for them to enjoy the experience and absorb what they’re learning.

We encourage parents to carefully consider their child’s energy levels and temperament before registering for a full-day option. During the lunch buddy time, students will have time to relax, eat lunch, and enjoy a movie, but no additional sewing or crafting will take place. This midday break is intentionally structured to give campers a mental and physical reset.

Our goal is to ensure that every student leaves camp feeling proud, accomplished, and excited about what they’ve created. By tailoring the experience to your child’s needs, we can help make sewing camp a fun, positive, and rewarding experience.

Camp Projects + Themes

The number of projects completed is dependent on the student’s skill level, ability to focus, and follow through with instruction.

Projects are subject to change.

Small Groups, Big Support

We believed students learn best in small groups. Our camps are intentionally designed with small group sizes, allowing instructors to provide hands-on guidance, individualized support, and a high level of care that helps each camper feel confident, successful, and engaged throughout the week.

We pride ourselves on our low student-to-instructor ratio of 6:1, ensuring each camper receives personalized attention, hands-on guidance, and the support they need to thrive in a creative and fun learning environment.

What Should I Bring To Camp?

Campers should bring a positive attitude, a light snack, and bottle of water!

All project materials are included unless otherwise stated in the camp description. Students are provided with a sewing machine and sewing tools during camp.

Cancellation Policy

We are reserving this space and time for your child. Our camps can accommodate a limited number of students; as a result, we often have a waiting list of students that would love the opportunity to participate. Since the majority of our camps include supplies we begin preparing for summer camp months in advance. Purchasing and preparing all materials in advance allows us to maximize camp time and ensure that kids are completing as many projects as possible. Because of this, we have a strict no-refund policy for cancellations or no-shows. We will handle special circumstances (unforeseen illness, family emergency, etc)  on a case by case basis.

If we are able to fill your child’s seat we will issue a credit to be used for an alternate camp.
