Quilt Academy is our signature quilting program. Enrollment opens once per year.

Quilt Academy is a year-long quilting program designed for older students and teens who are ready to take their sewing skills to the next level.

Over the course of the school year, students will learn the art and craft of quilting while creating a quilt of their own from start to finish. Along the way, they’ll develop skills in cutting, piecing, pressing, color selection, piecing, borders, binding, and finishing techniques while gaining confidence with every stitch.

This is more than a project class—it’s an opportunity to grow as a maker. Students will learn the same foundational skills used by quilters across generations while experiencing the satisfaction of watching hundreds of individual pieces come together into a finished quilt.

As a special culmination to the year, students will prepare their quilts for submission to a quilt show, giving them the opportunity to showcase their work and celebrate everything they have learned throughout the program.

Quilt Academy is ideal for students who enjoy long-term projects, attention to detail, and the satisfaction of creating something truly meaningful by hand.
