There was a time when friends and neighbors gathered around kitchen tables and in church halls with quilts to finish, dresses to mend, and projects they couldn’t wait to start. They shared ideas, encouraged one another, laughed together, and somehow every project felt a little more enjoyable because it was shared.
Those gatherings became known as sewing bees.
At Thimble Bee’s, we’re bringing that tradition back.

Whether you’ve been sewing for decades or you’re just beginning your creative journey, Sewciety is a place to gather with people who simply love making beautiful things.
Bring your favorite project, invite a friend, or come meet some new ones. We’ll save you a seat!
What is Sewciety?
Sewciety is not a class.
There are no lessons to keep up with, no homework, and no pressure to finish a project by a certain date.
Instead, it’s a welcoming gathering where sewists come together every other Sunday to work on their own projects, share ideas, encourage one another, and enjoy a few relaxing hours doing what they love.
Some people come to finish a quilt.
Others are sewing garments, bags, home décor, or holiday gifts.
Whatever you’re creating, you’ll be surrounded by people who understand the joy of sewing.
