We are counting down the days until SCHOOL IS OUT!  We have LOTS of sunshiny, sparkly, creative fun planned for you at camp this year!  The most common question I’m receiving is “What can I expect at Summer Camp?”  So, I thought it would be FUN to give you guys a little summer camp preview!

Session I

Under The Sea:: June 12 – June 14  MORNING

Every day will be a different project themed after our beautiful oceans and the creatures that live there!  Under the Sea is from 9 am to 12:30 pm daily Tuesday through Thursday. Kids ages 7 and up will be creating multiple projects daily using a variety of textiles and sewing technique.  Kids will get an introduction to many types of textiles and spend the days creating, sewing, quilting, and crafting.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included). Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Session II

Beach Fun Camp :: June 19 – June 21  MORNING

Get ready for the Salty Air in this three day Beach Fun Sewing Camp!  No sewing talent needed.  We will walk campers step by step through all the steps to complete their masterpieces.  Campers will enjoy making a variety of projects such as a personalized beach bag, swim wrap, and sunglasses case.  Beach Fun runs 9am – 12:30pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included). Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Session III

Sewing Is Art Camp :: June 26 – June 28   MORNING

Get ready for your child to enjoy the creative process as they develop their love for learning and creative thinking skills! In this fun-packed camp, students will create a pet portrait using a sewing technique called applique.  No previous sewing experience needed.  We will walk you through step by step until your masterpiece is complete.  At the end of the week students will have a framed work of art to take home and enjoy!  Sewing Is Art runs 9am – 12:30pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included). Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Session IV

Fashion Camp :: June 26 – June 28  AFTERNOON

A fun themed – fashion design camp that enables students to transform an idea into tangible form. During the week, students will feel like a fashion designer when they experience the fashion design process.  Students will have the opportunity to make a pair of  Sunday Shorts or a Simple Skirt – using their creativity to add embellishments and create a one-of-a-kind design! If time allows we will throw in a second project – another garment or simple bag!  Fashion Camp runs 1:30pm-5pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included). Extended Stay is available until 6pm for $10 per day.

Session V

Handmade Doll Camp :: July 10 – July 12  MORNING

Campers will enjoy making their very own handmade doll!  After they finish making Olive the Owl, they will begin creating her clothing and accessories! Sewing experience is preferred as this introduces slightly more advanced techniques. Doll Camp runs 9am – 12:30pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included). Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Session VI

American Girl Doll Fashion Camp :: July 10 – July 12 AFTERNOON

Campers will enjoy creating a summer wardrobe for their favorite 18″ doll.  We will teach students how to create skirts, shorts, simple shirts, and handbags!  We will also create a doll carrying bag like the one pictured above. They will choose from a variety of textiles to create outfits that suit their style!  There’s no limit on the number of garments your sewist can create – the sky is the limit at AG Fashion Camp! Camp runs 1:30pm-5pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included). Extended Stay is available until 6pm for $10 per day.

Session VII

Quilt Camp :: July 16 – July 20  AFTERNOON ONLY 

The absolute FAVORITE camp of the year, Quilt Camp! This will be our fourth year offering Quilt Camp and it’s ALWAYS a treat to see the young quilters display their creations at the Waxhaw Bridge.  In this camp, students will be introduced to quilting basics – how to piece squares to create blocks, how to connect blocks to create rows, and ultimately how to complete their quilt!  We will work hard all week – working step by step with students until their quilted treasure is complete!  A keepsake for many many years to come!  Morning and Afternoon sessions available – daily Monday through Friday.  Camp is $225 per camper due at registration (all materials included). Early Drop-offat 8am and Extended Stay is available until 6pm – for $10 each per day.

Session VIII

Sweets + Treats Sewing Camp :: July 24 – July 26   MORNING

In Sweets + Treats Camp projects will be themed after the sweetest of things; donuts, ice cream, cupcakes, and pie to name a few!  A sweetness overload for your little sewist!  Students will be offered a variety of projects such as pillows, bags, etc.  Sweets + Treats Sewing Camp runs 9am – 12:30pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Beginner friendly. Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included). Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Session IX

Time for a Tuffet Camp :: August 7 – August 9  MORNING

This is the ideal camp for tweens/teens.  Students will have the opportunity to choose fabrics that reflect their personality.  Campers will learn a variety of sewing, quilting, and basic upholstery technique to create this adorable piece of art!  Sewing Camp runs 9am – 12:30pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included).  Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Session X

Pajama Party Sewing Camp :: August 14 – August 16 MORNING

Let’s have a party, a pajama party!  Students will create pj shorts and an overnight bag!  We will throw in a third project if time allows.  Beginners are welcome.  We will walk you through step by step to the completion of each project.  Sewing Camp runs 9am – 12:30pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included).  Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Session XI

Animal Planet Camp :: August 14 – August 16 AFTERNOON

Puppies, Kittens, and Bears oh-my!  This week’s theme is Animal Planet.  We are still working hard to finalize the project selection for this camp, but rest assured it will be fun + creative + full of learning opportunities!  Sewing Camp runs 1:30pm-5pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included).  Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Session XII

Back-2-School Sewing Camp :: August 21 – August 23

Let’s get ready for Back-2-School!  A variety of fabrics + textiles will be available to campers.  Beginners are welcome.  Sewing Camp runs 9am – 12:30pm daily Tuesday through Thursday.  Camp is $165 per camper due at registration (all materials included).  Before Camp care is available at 8 AM for $10 per day.

Summer 2018 Color Palettes

Our camps are all inclusive – meaning the pricing above includes EVERYTHING your camp will need!  We offer students a variety of fabric choices.  Campers will be encouraged to create projects working within certain color palettes.  Here’s a look at this year’s palettes:
