Whether you’re brand new to sewing or you’ve been away from your machine for years, this beginner-friendly course is designed to build your confidence from the very first stitch.
Each week, you’ll receive a pre-recorded video lesson that walks you through the week’s skill or project in detail. These lessons are yours to watch on your schedule — no rushing, no pressure. You’ll also receive printable guides and homework so you know exactly what to practice and prepare for.
In addition to your video lesson, you’ll join me once a week for a live Zoom Q&A. These casual, encouraging sessions are where we troubleshoot, clarify steps, answer your questions, and cheer each other on. If you can’t attend live, no worries — the Zoom will be recorded and shared so you can watch when it works for you.
What You’ll Learn How To:
- Thread your machine and wind a bobbin with ease
- Understand basic machine settings
- Achieve consistent seam allowances
- Sew straight, curved, and corner seams
- Identify fabric grain + selvages
- Cut and pin fabrics (various cutting tools)
- Seam finishes + pressing technique
This course combines the best of both worlds: the flexibility of learning on your time and the support of a community cheering you on. Taught by Jen Taylor, founder of Thimble Bee’s Sewing School with over a decade of in-person teaching experience, this course is created to meet you right where you are — and guide you every step of the way.
