Class Overview

In this beginner-friendly Learn to Quilt Series, we’ll be diving into the world of quilting using the vibrant and modern Happy Stripes pattern by Emily Dennis. Whether you’re brand new to quilting or already have some experience, this class is perfect for building skills and confidence. With hands-on guidance, you’ll go from fabric selection to finishing touches, creating a beautiful quilt you’ll be proud to call your own!

What You’ll Learn:

Each 3-hour session is designed to walk you through each quilting stage, from piecing and assembly to quilting and binding. Key skills covered include:

• Cutting and prepping: using cutting tools and rulers
• Precision piecing and pressing to create perfect blocks
• Assembling blocks to create your quilt tops
• Quilting techniques suitable for beginners
• Binding methods to finish your quilt beautifully

Don’t worry if you’re new to these terms—each step will be explained in detail with ample support along the way.

• Time: 2:00 pm – 5:00 pm

We meet on the first and third Sundays of each month to allow you time to practice, complete homework, and build confidence in each new skill.

Between classes, you’ll have the option to join our exclusive Facebook group, where I’ll post homework assignments, video tutorials, and step-by-step guidance for each section of the quilt. This online support community will help you stay motivated, answer any questions, and keep you on track with friendly encouragement from your fellow quilters.

Bonus/Makeup Session

At the end of the series, we’ll offer an additional bonus/makeup class to catch up or go over any final touches together. The date will be determined later in the course to accommodate everyone’s progress.
